Meet Jamie Human

Meet Jamie Human, a professional freelance drummer and drum teacher based in Birmingham, known for his vibrant energy and musical versatility.

Jamie's drumming journey has taken him across diverse genres, notably as the driving force behind the alternative metal band ‘Straight For The Sun’. He has shared stages with renowned acts like 'Skindred' and 'Uriah Heep’, and his band has been featured on Planet Rock Radio and BBC WM.

Beyond the metal scene, Jamie has left his mark as the drummer for the folk/soul band 'The Lost Notes,' contributing to their debut album as well as many other bands across various genres. More recently, Jamie has been in demand for various function band and dep drumming projects, spanning weddings and function events nationwide.

His musical influence extends further as a dedicated music teacher at Music Academy Midlands, where he has worked for nearly a decade, teaching students of all ages. Jamie also holds a first-class honours degree in Music Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music.
